KATHMANDU: Linguist and litterateur Jagannath Tripathi passed away at his residence on Friday morning. He was 81.
He had been suffering from kidney problem of late. Tripathi had taken formal education from India. He will be cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat today.
He was honoured with the title of Bidwotkeshari award on February 6 for his contribution to the Nepali language and literature.
Litterateur Tripathi is survived by his wife, two daughters and five sons.
